Joe Whitney (born February 6, 1988 in Reading, Massachusetts) is an American right winger playing for the Albany Devils of the American Hockey League.
He played for the Boston College Eagles from 2007 to 2011, helping the team win the NCAA championship in 2008 and 2011. Whitney scored 40 goals and 102 assists in 161 games over the four seasons.
Undrafted by any NHL team, Whitney played briefly with the Portland Pirates at the end of the 2010-11 season before signing as a free agent with Albany on July 28, 2011.
