Joe Piskula (born July 5, 1984 in Antigo, Wisconsin) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman who currently plays with the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.

Playing career[]

Piskula was signed as a free agent by the Los Angeles Kings on March 21, 2007, following three years playing at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He played in his first NHL game with the Kings on March 23, 2007 against the Chicago Blackhawks.

After three years with the Manchester Monarchs, the Kings AHL affiliate, Piskula left as a free agent and was invited on a try-out to the Philadelphia Flyers training camp for the 2010–11 campaign.[1] Following his release from the Flyers, Joe returned to the AHL and initially signed a try-out agreement with the Oklahoma City Barons before moving to the Abbotsford Heat on October 6 to begin the season.[2]
