James Edward Vesey (born October 29, 1965 in Charlestown, Massachusetts is a retired American ice hockey player.

He played college hockey for the Merrimack Warriors from 1984 to 1988 and was an all-star twice.

Drafted 155th overall by the St. Louis Blues in the 1984 NHL Entry Draft, he went to play eleven games for the Blues, scoring a goal and two assists. He spent three seasons for the Peoria Rivermen from 1988 to 1991.

He signed with the Boston Bruins in 1991 and played four games for them, scoring no points. In 1991-92 Vesey suffered a shoulder separation which not only made him miss much of that season, but also led to a premature retirement in 1995.

Vesey retired in 1995 after playing two seasons, during which he missed many games, for the Phoenix Roadrunners.
