Jim Brown (born March 1, 1960 in Phoenix, Arizona and raised in Canton, New York) is a retired American professional ice hockey defenceman. He played in three games with the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL) in the 1982–83 NHL season, scoring an assist.
He was an assistant coach for the Kitchener Rangers from 1997 to 2008.
