Jeff May (born April 4, 1987 in Richmond, British Columbia) is a professional ice hockey defenceman currently with the ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers. May was drafted in the 5th round (151st overall) by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
Junior career[]
May began his junior career in 2002 when he signed with the Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League. May would play four in a half seasons with Prince Albert scoring 119 points in 281 regular season games and eight points in 25 playoff games including an appearance in the WHL Eastern Conference Finals in 2005. During the 2007-08 season, May was traded by Prince Albert to the Lethbridge Hurricanes and scored 24 points in 29 regular season games and nine points in 19 playoff games leading Lethbridge to the WHL Finals, losing to the Spokane Chiefs four games to zero.
Professional career[]
After five years in juniors, May signed with the AHL's Norfolk Admirals in 2008, but was released after three games. May would then be picked up by the Las Vegas Wranglers after numerous Wrangler defencemen received call ups to the American Hockey League.
He played mostly for the AHL's San Antonio Rampage from 2008 to 2011 but found himsself back with the Wranglers in 2011-12.
