Jason Dest (born October 26, 1984 in Fraser, Michigan) is a professional ice hockey defenceman for the ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers.
Junior and Collegiate career[]
Dest started junior hockey in 2001 when he signed with the Omaha Lancers and would stay with them for two seasons scoring 22 points in 105 games with the Omaha/River City Lancers, before enrolling to play with the Michigan Wolverines of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. Dest would go on to play all four years for the Wolverines scoring 25 points in 164 career games.
Professional career[]
Dest would start his professional career in 2007, when he signed with the ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers. Dest had a very productive first professional season recording four points and earning selection to the 2008 ECHL All-Star Game as well as having a short call up with the American Hockey League's Peoria Rivermen.
