Jaromír Pytlík was born on September 25, 2001 in Dačice. He is a Czech ice hockey center currently playing for the Soo Greyhounds of the OHL. He was selected 99th overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft by the New Jersey Devils.

Club career[]

Pytlík began his junior career with the HC Žďár nad Sázavou organisation. In the 2016-17 season, he made his senior debut playing one regular season game and one play-off game with the HC Žďár nad Sázavou of the 2. Liga.

In the next season, Pytlík played 22 games in the regular season and 7 games in the play-offs for the HC Žďár nad Sázavou of the 2. Liga. He scored there 25 points in the regular season and 8 points in the play-offs in that season. He also played 21 games for the under-eighteen team of the HC Žďár nad Sázavou and he was also loaned to the HC Vítkovice of the Tipsport Extraliga for 7 games.

Pytlík moved to the HC Vítkovice for the 2018-19 season. He played 24 games for the HC Vítkovice of the Tipsport Extraliga, 2 games for the under-nineteen team of the HC Vítkovice and 11 games on loan for the HC Poruba of the Chance Liga. In the middle of the season, Pytlík moved to North America to play finish the season with the Soo Greyhounds of the OHL.

Pytlík stayed in North America and played the whole 2019-20 season with the Greyhounds.

International career[]

Pytlík played for the Czech Republic at the 2017 World U17 Hockey Challenge, 2018 World U18 Championship and at the 2020 World Junior Championship.
