Death
On September 11, 2011 Marek and his team were flying to Minsk to play their first game of the season. The plane was a Yakovlev Yak-42 passenger aircraft. It carried the entire Lokomotiv team, along with its coaching staff and prospects. The plane crashed just outside of Yaroslavl, Russia. The plane also carried the team's full main roster and four players on the youth team.
