Jan Marek (December 31, 1979 - September 7, 2011) was a Czech professional ice hockey centre, born in Jindřichův Hradec, Czechoslovakia. He played for the Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Jan led the KHL in goals scored in the 2008-09 season with 35.

On September 11, 2011 Marek and his team were flying to Minsk to play their first game of the season. The plane was a Yakovlev Yak-42 passenger aircraft. It carried the entire Lokomotiv team, along with its coaching staff and prospects. The plane crashed just outside of Yaroslavl, Russia. The plane also carried the team's full main roster and four players on the youth team.
