The Jamestown Jimmies are a men's hockey team representing the University of Jamestown in Jamestown, North Dakota. The team is based out of the John L. Wilson Arena in Jamestown, North Dakota. The team plays in the ACHA.
Club Teams[]
Starting in the 2016–17 school year, the University of Jamestown introduced a men's ice hockey team that competes in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 1 (ACHA); a Division II men's team started competitive play in the 2020–21 season. The school announced in 2021 that they would field a women's hockey team for the 2022–2023 season.
Possible Varsity programs[]
On November 22, 2023 the present National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics was announced as joining the all-sports NCAA Division II Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference for the 2025-26 season, which is an apparent indication of possible men's and women's ice hockey prorgams over the next few seasons. The university presently has two men's club teams which play in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division I level Midwest Collegiate Hockey and Division II level Western Collegiate Club Hockey Association, while the women's team is presently a member of the ACHA Women's Division I level Midwest Collegiate Hockey.
