James Patterson (b. October 7, 1977 in Huntsville, Alabama, United States) is a minor league hockey forward
Patterson, who played college hockey at the University of Denver, has played in the Central Hockey League, the International Hockey League, the East Coast Hockey League, the American Hockey League, the United Hockey League, the South East Hockey League and the Southern Professional Hockey League. Patterson was named CHL Rookie of the year for the 1999-00 season and also SEHL Most Valuable Player and All-Star in 2003-04 with the Huntsville Channel Cats leading the SEHL in points with 119. James was the captain of the Huntsville Havoc till the end of the 2007-08 season. Patterson did not sign with Huntsville or any other team for the 2008-09 Season.
