William John Trevor "Jack, Tex - The Quiet Man" Evans (born April 21, 1928 in Garnant, Wales – November 10, 1996) nicknamed "Tex" was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played 14 seasons in the National Hockey League for the New York Rangers and Chicago Black Hawks. He won the Stanley Cup with Chicago in 1961.

He played for nine seasons in the minor pros after leaving the NHL in 1963. Evans retired in 1972.

His first job as a coach was as a player-coach for the Buffalo Bisons in 1963-64.

Evans also coached for eight seasons in the National Hockey League for the California Golden Seals, Cleveland Barons, and Hartford Whalers.
