Irwin "Yank" Boyd (November 13, 1908 – November 12, 1979) was an American professional ice hockey right winger who played 97 games in the National Hockey League. He played for the Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He played junior and senior hockey with the Toronto Canoe Club in 1925-26 and then senior hockey with the Toronto Marlboros in 1926-27. After playing in a local Toronto league in 1927-28 & 1928-29 Boyd turned pro with the Boston Tigers in 1929-30.

Boyd was called up to the Boston Bruins in the 1931-32 season and played 29 games, scoring 2 goals and an assist. He was then traded to the minor pro Philadelphia Arrows. The Detroit Red Wings acquired him in 1934 and he played in 42 games that season.

After that Boyd played minor pro hockey until 1942. He played five seasons with the St. Paul Saints of the American Hockey Association from 1938 to 1942. In 1942 he was called up again to the Boston Bruins. Boyd played 20 games for them in the 1942-43 season and 5 in the 1943-44 season. He then finished off his career with the Providence Reds and retired in 1945.

He was the head coach of the Reds from 1944-45 until he was replaced mid-season in 1946-47.

In the NHL Boyd scored 10 goals and 10 assists in 97 games.
