The Inter City League operated for the 1913-14 season with two teams each from Calgary and Edmonton. The Edmonton Dominions won the league regular season championship and went on to and won the 1913-14 Alberta Senior Playoffs. The team would lose to the Saskatchewan champion Regina Victorias 5-4 on March 11, 1914 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan in a single game playoff to determine the next challenger for the Winnipeg Monarchs who were the holders of the Allan Cup.
