The Indiana Collegiate Hockey Conference is a collegiate hockey conference within Division 3 of the American Collegiate Hockey Association. The ICHC facilitates and fosters competitive, academic and operational excellence for its member institutions through the club sport of ice hockey. The conference supports a culture of professionalism and integrity all while creating a positive experience for the student-athletes and academic institutions it serves.
The ICHC began play in the 2014-2015 season. All four teams (Ball State Cardinals, Indiana Hoosiers, IPFW Mastadons, and Purdue Boilermakers) participated in the ICHC Showcase, which were the first games in conference history, from October 10–12th, 2014. The showcase was hosted by IPFW. The first ICHC Playoffs took place from February 13-14th, 2015 and was hosted by Purdue.
Conference Changes[]
The conference would add the Xavier Musketeers for the 2015-16 season.
The Butler Bulldogs would be added for the 2016-17 season.
For 2017-18 the Eastern Kentucky Colonels were added and Xavier would just have a Division II program starting in 2017-18, dropping the ICHC team.
Ball State dropped from the league for the 2019-20 season, while the league would add the Cincinnati Bearcats, IU Northwest RedHawks, and Schoolcraft Ocelots the same season.
Eastern Kentucky Colonels, IU Northwest RedHawks, and Schoolcraft Ocelots would not be in the league by the start of the 2021-22 season
The league would lose the 2020-21 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Xavier Musketeers would rejoin the conference for the 2024-25 season.
