Igor Ozhiganov (born on October 13, 1992 in Krasnogorsk) is a Russian professional ice hockey defenceman. He plays with the SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL.
Club career[]
Ozhiganov played in 2009 - 2012 junior hockey with the CSKA-Krasnaya Armiya Moskva of the MHL. In the 2010-11 season, Ozhiganov won with the CSKA-Krasnaya Armiya Moskva the Kharlamov Cup. In this season, Ozhiganov also made his senior debut playing 2 games with the CSKA Moskva of the KHL. In the 2011-12 season, he played with the CSKA Moskva 7 games.
Ozhiganov began the 2012-13 season with the Amur Khabarovsk of the KHL. He played there 49 games before moving to the CSKA Moskva for the end of the season. He played 4 regular season games and 6 play-off games with the CSKA Moskva in this season.
In the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons, Ozhiganov played with the Sibir Novosibirsk of the KHL. In the 2014-15 season, he was named the defenceman of the week of the January 25, 2015.
In 2015 - 2018, he played again with the CSKA Moskva of the KHL. In the 2016-17 season, he played at the 2017 KHL All-Star Game.
In the 2018-19 season, Ozhiganov played with the Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL.
Ozhiganov began the 2019-20 season with the Ak Bars Kazan of the KHL. He played there 19 games before moving to the SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL. He finished there the season with 35 regular season games played and 4 games played in the play-offs.
Ozhiganov is signed under the SKA St. Petersburg until the end of the 2021-22 season.
