Ian Moran (born August 24, 1972 in Acton, Massachusetts United States) is a former professional ice hockey defenceman.

Moran was drafted 107th overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft and made his debut for the Penguins during their playoff run in the 1993-94 NHL season. Moran stayed as a Penguin until 2003 where he was traded to the Boston Bruins. During the NHL lockout, Moran had spells in the Sweden's HockeyAllsvenskan for Bofors IK and the United Kingdom's Elite Ice Hockey League for the Nottingham Panthers. His return to Boston after the lockout was short-lived having been sidelined for most of the season with a knee injury. In 2006, Moran signed with the Anaheim Ducks but only managed to play one game for them as he also spent the season with spells in the American Hockey League with the Portland Pirates and in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga in Germany for Eisbären Berlin.
