The IIHF European Women Championships were held between 1989 and 1996. They were held under the auspices of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and were used as qualifications for the IIHF World Women Championships.
They were discontinued in 1996 as the IIHF went to a multiple division format in the World Championship.
