Hugh Hamilton (born February 11, 1977 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) is a retired Canadian defenceman.

He played junior hockey for the Spokane Chiefs from 1993 to 1997 and was on the Canadian team at the 1997 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.

The Hartford Whalers chose him 113th overall in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. He turned pro in 1997-98 with the Beast of New Haven. Hamilton played in the minors until 2002.

In that year he joined the University of Saskatchewan for two seasons. Hamilton retired in 2004.
