Howard Walker (born August 5, 1958 in Grande Prairie, Alberta) is a retired Canadian ice hockey defenceman who played for the Washington Capitals and Calgary Flames. Originally signed by the Capitals as a free agent in 1980, Walker played parts of two seasons before he was traded to the Flames. He retired following the 1982–83 NHL season.
Walker was a star player with the North Dakota Fighting Sioux from 1978 to 1980. After signing with the Washington Capitals, he was crowded out in his quest for a roster spot. Traded to the Calgary Flames in 1982 as part of the Pat Riggin deal, he was sent down to the Colorado Flames. Walker retired after that season.
