Horst-Peter Kretschmer (born October 19, 1955 in Bad Tölz, West Germany) was a West German defenceman who played in the 1980 and 1988 Olympics.

He played in the top German league from 1972 to 1992 with EC Bad Tölz (1972-74), EG Dusseldorf (1974-81), and EHC Star Bulls Rosenheim (1981-92).
