Horst-Peter Kretschmer (19 October 1955 – 24 April 2015) was a German ice hockey player. He competed in the men's tournaments at the 1980 Winter Olympics and the 1988 Winter Olympics.[1]

He played in a total of 76 games for the national team, scoring 9 goals and 6 assists.

He is known as one of the best German hockey players and is a member of the German Hockey Hall of Fame.
