The Hobart Statesmen are the name of the athletics teams of Hobart College in Geneva, New York. It is a men's only college. The hockey team played in the ECAC West from 1985 to 2017. The school will be joining the New England Hockey Conference for the 2017-18 season, which is a NCAA Division III conference.
Hobart College is a brother school to William Smith College, both schools hockey programs are located out of the Geneva Recreation Complex Skating Rink aka "the Cooler" which is located near both campuses in Geneva, New York.
The Statesmen hockey program dates back to 1970-71 season.
The was announced as being a member of the newly formed United Collegiate Hockey Conference in October, 2016 but the school would announce on January 24, 2017 that they would be withdrawing from the UCHC and joining the New England Hockey Conference instead.
