Harvey A. Bennett, Sr. (July 23, 1925 – November 21, 2004) was a Canadian ice hockey goaltender who played for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League. He was born in Edington, Saskatchewan. His sons (5) Harvey Bennett, Jr., Curt Bennett, and Bill Bennett all played in the NHL. John Bennett played in the WHA, and Jim Bennett played in the IHL.

Perhaps Bennett's most famous feat was surrendering Maurice Richard's 50th goal of the season in the 50th game of the 1944-45 season. This goal was scored for the Bruins' arch-nemesis Montreal Canadiens on March 18, 1945.
