The Halifax Skating Rink was an indoor arena located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The arena opened in 1863 as a private club. This was the first indoor arena on the east coast of Canada. It is uncertain as to when the arena closed. The arena was the site of the first indoor hockey game shortly after in opened in 1863.  The Victoria Skating Rink in Montreal according to historians lays claim to the first indoor game on March 3, 1875. However, this event in Halifax would predate that by 12 years.
