The Halifax Atlantics played in the Maritime Major Hockey League in 1952-53 and 1953-54. They won the playoffs in both years and also won the Alexander Cup because that was the only major league in Canada.

The Halifax Atlantics were the new name of the Halifax Canadiens. The Atlantics played two seasons in the Maritime Junior Hockey League.
