It is the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve unit in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.
Griffon won the 1943-44 Thunder Bay Junior Playoffs and the 1944-45 Thunder Bay Junior Playoffs. It could not represent the region in the Memorial Cup playoffs because of miltary regulations.
