The Gulf Ice Hockey Championship, also known as the GCC Gulf Ice Hockey Championships, is an international ice hockey competition involving teams from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The inaugural tournament took place on the May 25 to May 30 in Kuwait City, Kuwait and was organised by the Kuwait Ice Hockey Association.[1] The United Arab Emirates finished first, winning all three games in the round robin competition. The United Arab Emirates have shown interest in hosting the 2011 competition. The event was supervised by the International Ice Hockey Federation who also provided referees.[2]

2010[]

The 2010 competition was made up of four of the six countries from the Gulf Cooperation Council. All games took place place in the National Ice Skating Rink, Kuwait City. United Arab Emirates won the tournament, winning all three games. Oman and Saudi Arabia competed in their first international hockey games, with Saudi Arabia recording their first win after defeating Oman 3–1.[3]
