Guillaume Leclerc (born on February 20, 1996 in Besançon) is a French ice hockey center currently playing with the Rødovre Mighty Bulls of the Metal Ligaen.
Club career[]
Leclerc began his junior career with the Amiens organisation.
In the 2013-14 season played Leclerc with the Austin Bruins of the NAHL. In this season, Leclerc was selected into the NAHL All-Rookie First Team.
In 2014 - 2016, Leclerc played with the Madison Capitols of the USHL.
Leclerc then spent the 2016-17 season with the UMass-Lowell of the NCAA. In this season, he became the NCAA (Hockey East) champion.
Leclerc also began the 2017-18 season with the UMass-Lowell of the NCAA but after just 2 games played, he returned to France and finished the season with the Grenoble of the Ligue Magnus. He played there 20 regular season games and 17 play-off games in this season.
Leclerc continued with the Grenoble of the Ligue Magnus in the next season in which he became the French champion and won the Albert Hassler Trophy for the Ligue Magnus' best French player and the Charles Ramsey Trophy for the player with most points scored (61).
Leclerc then began the 2019-20 season with the HK Poprad of the Tipsport Liga. He played there 25 games before moving to the Bietigheim Steelers of the DEL2 for the remainder of the season. He played there 24 regular season games and 2 play-off games.
For the beginning of the 2020-21 season returned Leclerc to France. He played 11 games with the Amiens of the Ligue Magnus before moving to the Rødovre Mighty Bulls of the Metal Ligaen for the remainder of the season. He played there 10 games.
International career[]
Leclerc played with the French National Team at the 2012 and 2013 World U18 Championships Division IA, 2013 World Junior Championship Division IA, 2014, 2015 and 2016 World Junior Championships Division IB (winning bronze at the 2014 tournament and gold at the 2016 tournament where he was also named the tournament's best forward as he had most assists (5) among all players at the tournament and also the best face-off percentage (59.18 %) at the tournament) and at the 2018 and 2019 World Championships.
