The Grand Falls Rapids are a Junior "A" team based out of Grand Falls, New Brunswick. They play in the Maritime Junior A Hockey League. The team plays their home games at the E. & P. Senechal Centre.
The team announced on March 23, 2018 that they would be taking a one year leave of absence for the 2018-19 season.[1] On May 16th it was announced the team will be moving about 110 km (68 miles) north to Grand Falls, New Brunswick and be based out of the E. & P. Senechal Centre when they do return for the 2019-20 season. More information will be available about the future of the team after the league's annual general meeting on June 7-9, 2018.[2] The team would be renamed the Grand Falls Rapids on June 6, 2018 and they announced they would be playing for the 2018-19 season.[3]
