Gordon "Gordie" Laxton (b.March 16, 1955) is a former professional goaltender who played for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the National Hockey League.
Playing career[]
Gordon Laxton played two seasons for New Westminster Bruins in the WCHL before he was drafted 13th overall in the NHL by the Pittsburgh Penguins and 33rd overall in the 1975 WHA Amateur Draft by the Michigan Stags.
Laxton chose the NHL over WHA and signed a contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Laxton played 17 games for the Penguins during his 4 NHL seasons. He played for many AHL and IHL teams during his career.
Gordon Laxton never made a breakthrough into the Major Leagues and retired in 1983.
