Gord R. Hynes (born July 22, 1966) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played two seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers. Hynes was a member of the Canadian 1992 Winter Olympics ice hockey team, winning a silver medal.
Hynes played junior for the Medicine Hat Tigers and was selected 115th overall by the Boston Bruins in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. He turne pro in 1986 and spent two seasons in the American Hockey League.
After the Olympics, Hynes joined the Boston Bruins near the end of the 1991-92 season. He scored 5 assist in 15 regular season games and 1 goal and 2 assists in 12 playoff games.
After one more season in the minor pros, Hynes moved to Germany where he played for seven seasons, retiring in 2002.
