Glenn Fisher (born April 25, 1983 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a professional ice hockey goaltender formerly with the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL. Fisher was drafted in the 5th round (148th overall) by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. In 2010-2011 Glenn was recruited as a left winger by the Edmonton Blackawks playing in Division 3 of the EMHL. Glenn posted a respectable 21 goals and 48 points in 29 games during the regular season, adding 4 goals and 8 points in 5 playoff games while a part of the Blackawks' 2011 championship run.

Junior and Collegiate career[]

Fisher spent one year in juniors, playing for the Fort Saskatchewan Traders of the Alberta Junior Hockey League in 2002, appearing in 61 of the Traders' 64 games. Following his lone season of juniors, Fisher began to attend the University of Denver.

In his freshman season for Denver, Fisher served as backup to senior netminder Adam Berkhoel posting a 3-1-1 record with a 3.58 goals against average (GAA) and a .872 saves percentage as the Pioneers won the 2004 National Championship defeating the University of Maine 1–0. Fisher would split time with freshman Peter Mannino in his sophomore season, posting a 14-5-1 record with a 2.84 GAA and a .889 saves percentage as the Pioneers won their second straight national title, defeating the University of North Dakota 4–1. Fisher would play two more seasons at Denver posting a career record of 39-22-6.

Professional career[]

Fisher began his professional career in 2007, when he was assigned to the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL. In 38 games with Stockton, Fisher posted a 14-19-2 record with a 3.36 GAA and a .889 saves percentage. While with Stockton, Fisher received a one-game call up to the Springfield Falcons of the AHL, allowing three goals on eight shots.

Fisher began his 2008-09 season with Springfield, appearing in three games and posting a 0-1-0 record with 3.00 GAA and .900 saves percentage. The Edmonton Oilers have reassigned Fisher twice during the season. He spent a three game stint with the Stockton Thunder, posting a 2-0-1 record with a 2.64 GAA and a .895 saves percentage. In late January, Fisher was reassigned to the Las Vegas Wranglers. In his first game with Las Vegas, Fisher saved 45 of 46 shots in a 5–1 win over the Bakersfield Condors.
