Glace Bay Miners Forum

The Glace Bay Miner's Forum was an indoor arena located in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. The arena opened on January 2, 1939 and held about 4,000. The name of the facility comes from the fact that the arena was built by miners and was named in their honour. The arena would last until the opening of the BAYplex in 1996. The new arena had its share of issues and required a major overhaul of the facility which required it to be closed for a period of two years.[1] Once renovations to the faciilty were complete in 2020, the arena was renamed back to the New Glace Bay Miner's Forum.

The name of the arena came from the miners in local coal mines who contributed to get the arena built in the 1930's.[2]
