George H. Merritt


Played in the first hockey game in the history of Manitoba for the Winnipeg Victorias on Saturday afternoon, December 20, 1890. He was also a member of the 1896 Stanley Cup winning Victorias team. He played as both a skater and a goaltender before playing exclusively as a goaltender with the 1893-94 season. He would play with the Victorias until the 1899-1900 season.
