Gavin Jason Hodgson (b. May 23, 1975 Midland, Ontario, Canada) is a professional ice hockey defenceman. Gavin played college hockey at the University of Calgary, from 1998-2000 he played in 82 games scoring 12 goals and recorded 25 assists including 131 penalty minutes.
Gavin started his professional hockey in the West Coast Hockey League (WCHL) with the Colorado Gold Kings and has had stops with the Anchorage Aces and Tacoma Sabercats. Has stops in the Central Hockey League (CHL) with the San Angelo Outlaws, Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, San Angelo Saints and Lubbock Cotton Kings. Also played for the Johnstown Chiefs of the ECHL and the Rockford IceHogs of the United Hockey League (UHL). Played the 2005-06 and the 2006-07 seasons with the Fayetteville FireAntz of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL). Gavin was an alternate captains with the Huntsville Havoc of the SPHL (2007-08).
Gavin was traded on January 29, 2008 along with the rights to Justin Schmit to Twin City Cyclones for Matt Curley and the rights to Dylan Row.
