Garry Monahan (b. October 20, 1946 in Barrie, Ontario, Canada) was a professional centre who played in the National Hockey League from 1967 to 1979.
Monahan has the distinction of being the very first player ever drafted in an NHL Entry Draft, having been the Montreal Canadiens' first round pick, first overall, in the 1963 NHL Amateur Draft. He went to be one of the only five players drafted of that year to play in the NHL, wearing the Canadiens', Detroit Red Wings', Los Angeles Kings', Toronto Maple Leafs' and Vancouver Canucks' colours through his career.
