Frederick Scanlan was a Canadian amateur ice hockey forward who played for the Montreal Shamrocks and Winnipeg Victorias. He played on a forward line with other notable players' Arthur Farrel and Harry Trihey. Fredrick was a Stanley Cup champion with the Shamrocks in 1899, 1900.
He played with the Winnipeg Victorias in 1901-02 and 1902-03. He retired in 1903.
Scanlan was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1965.
