The team was founded as the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers for the 2013-14 season. The team would be renamed for the 2014-15 season.

The team would no longer in the Noralta Junior Hockey League as of the start of the 2017-18 season. This is apparently due to speculation of the city possibly getting a team in the Junior A level Alberta Junior Hockey League.[1] However, the Jubilee Recreation Centre would require extensive renovations to have any chance of landing a team. [2] The team had played its home games out of several smaller arenas in the town in 2016-17.
