The Fort Frances Canadians were a Canadian Senior ice hockey team from Fort Frances, Ontario.
Senior Team[]
The Canadians played in the Thunder Bay Senior Playoffs in the 1940's and 1950's. They won that title in 1947-48, 1948-49, 1949-50, 1950-51, and 1951-52.
They won the Western Canada Allan Cup Playoffs in 1950-51 and 1951-52.
The Canadians lost the Allan Cup Final in 1950-51 but then returned to win the Allan Cup in 1951-52.
During this period the Canadians also played in the Northern Amateur League, winning that championship from 1947-48 through 1950-51.
Intermediate team[]
The Canadians then became an intermediate team. They played in both the Minnesota-Ontario Hockey League and the Thunder Bay playoffs.
They won the league in 1961-62.
They won the Thunder Bay Intermediate playoffs in 1958-59, 1959-60, 1967-68, & 1968-69.
The Canadians won the 1959-60 Western Canada Intermediate Playoffs.
