Anthony Joseph Poeta (March 4, 1933 in North Bay, Ontario – May 2, 2004 in North Bay, Ontario) was a professional ice hockey player from 1950 to 1960. He only played one game in the NHL and that was with the Chicago Black Hawks. In that one game he scored no goals, earned no assists for no points. He also had no penalty minutes.

He played junior hockey for the Galt Black Hawks and the Barrie Flyers from 1950 to 1953. His game with Chicago came during the 1951-52 season. Poeta won the Memorial Cup with Barrie in 1953.

Poeta turned pro in 1953-54 with the Marion Barons and the Cleveland Barons. In 1954-55 the Barons loaned him to the Valleyfield Braves for a few games. The balance of the season he played for the senior North Bay Trappers.

He continued to play in senior hockey until 1959-60, when he played in the Eastern Hockey League and the International League. He retired at the end of that season.
