John Leonard "Jack" Dyte (b. October 13, 1918 in New Liskeard, Ontario - d. April 9, 1974) is a former Canadian ice hockey defenceman. He played for the Chicago Black Hawks of the NHL.

He played junior hockey for the Barrie Colts and senior for the Niagara Falls Cataracts in 1938-39. Dyte then played three seasons in the Eastern Hockey League and was an all-star twice. In 1942-43 he played for the Montreal Royals.

In 1943-44 he signed as a free agent with the Chicago Blackhawks and played 27 games, scoring one goal. He then played two seasons in the American Hockey League and retired in 1946.

After coaching a local intermediate team in his hometown of New Liskeard for two seasons, he made a one-season comeback with the North Sydney Victorias in 1948-49.
