Eddie Jeremiah, Dartmouth coach

Eddie Jeremiah (November 4, 1905 – August 15, 1967) was a professional ice hockey player who played 15 games in the National Hockey League. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, he played for the New York Americans and Boston Bruins.

He played for Dartmouth College from 1926 to 1930. He turned pro with the New Haven Eagles in 1930-31. In 1931-32 he played 9 games for the New York Americans and then was traded to the Boston Bruins with whom he played another 6 games. He scored an assist for the Americans in what would be his only NHL ecperience.

Jeremiah played another three seasons of minor pro. He retired in 1935 and coached the Boston Olympics to the 1936-37 United States National Senior Championship.

The next year he took over as coach of his alma mater Dartmouth. Except for miltary service in World War II, Jeremiah coached the Big Green team until shortly before his death in 1967.
