Brampton Memorial Arena

The Brampton Memorial Arena is an indoor arena located in Brampton, Ontario.  The arena opened January 14, 1950.   It is named in honour of those who lost their lives during the Second World War.  Due to the fact that the facility was built as a memorial and that it has architectural and historical significance to the community the city council began the process of giving the arena formal "heritage designation" under the Ontario Heritage Act.  This will give the city council a say in the preservation and upkeep of the building.

The facility is the home of the Brampton Bombers of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League. It is also home to the Brampton Canadettes Girls Hockey Association.

The facility has served the formative years of players such as Wayne Gretzky, Darryl Sittler, and Cassie Campbell,
