Augsburg Ice Arena

The Ed Saugestad Rink is an indoor arena located in Minneapolis, Minnesota on the campus of Augsburg College. The facility opened in 1974 as the Augsburg Ice Arena. The larger arena was renamed in honor of Ed Saugestad (class of 1959) who coached the men's team from his senior year in 1958-59 until 1996. The rink is part of a larger two rink facility. The smaller rink is simple referred to as "Rink B".

When the arena opened it was slated to be the home of three Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams (Augsburg Auggies, Hamline Pipers, and Macalester Scots). The Hamline Pipers would moved to a different arena and Macalester dropped its varsity hockey program. The Twin City Vulcans junior hockey team also had played a portion of their games at the arena. The women's program at Augburg took to the ice in 1995.

The arena was used as one of the filming locations for the 1992 movie The Mighty Ducks
