Playoffs[]
Format[]
The top six teams in each division qualify for the playoffs. The 1st and second place teams earn a first round bye. The third place team will play the sixth place team and the fourth place team will play the fifth place team in best-of-three series. The teams will then be re-seeded with first playing fourth and second playing third in a best-of-five series. The division semi-finals winners will be matched higher seed in one division plays the lower seed in the other division in the best-of-five semifinal series. The semifinal winners will meet in a best-of-seven series with the winner advancing to the 2017 Russ Barnes Trophy tournament which is being held in St. Paul, Alberta and being hosted by the St. Paul Canadiens for the opportunity to advance to the 2017 Keystone Cup which is being held in Arborg, Manitoba hosted by the Arborg Ice Dawgs for the Western Canadian Championship.
