Standings[]

Teams are awarded 3 points for a regulation or overtime win and 1 point for an overtime tie. If the game is tied after the five minute overtime period the game goes to a three round shootout.  The shoot out winning team is awarded an extra point in the standings.

Conference Tournament[]

Format[]

All 8 teams qualify for the conference tournament.  The quarterfinal round is held February 26th to 28th.  The quarterfinals are best-of-three at the higher seeded team.  The semifinals and finals known as the 2016 WCHA Final Face-Off are held March 5th and 6th at the Ridder Arena in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Quarterfinals[]

  • Wisconsin defeated Minnesota State 2 games to none (4-0, 6-0)
  • Minnesota defeated Ohio State 2 games to none (5-2, 5-0)
  • Minnesota-Duluth defeated Bemidji State 2 games to none (5-1, 2-1 (ot)
  • North Dakota vs St. Cloud State 2 games to none (6-1, 6-1)

Semifinals[]

  • Wisconsin defeated Minnesota-Duluth 5-0
  • Minnesota defeated North Dakota 2-0

Final[]

  • Wisconsin defeated Minnesota 1-0

The Wisconsin Badgers earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Division I Women's Ice Hockey Tournament.
