FedEx Forum is an indoor arena located in Memphis, Tennessee. The arena opened in September of 2004. The facility cost $250 million (US) to build and seats 16,411 for ice hockey. The arena is owned by the city of Memphis and is operated by the Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association. The arena has never had an ice hockey tenant during its' existence. The arena was built with an ice making plant but the only ice hockey game hosted by the arena was a September 21, 2006 games between the Nashville Predators and the Columbus Blue Jackets. The game was won by the Predators 8-1.
