
The Esso Cup West Regional is the final qualifying round for the Esso Cup. The tournament presently involves the Manitoba Female Hockey League U18 AAA and the Saskatchewan Female U18 AAA Hockey League.
The first qualifying tournaments were held in 2009 when Hockey Canada established a women's Major midget 's (now U18) national championship in the Esso Cup. The champion is awarded the Lanchberry Family Trophy.

Note: In 2015 the Saskatoon Stars would win the Lanchberry Family Trophy by winning their round robin game at the 2015 Esso Cup against the Central Plains Capitals 3-2.
