Ernie Hicke (born November 7, 1947 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada) is a retired Canadian forward.

Hicke started his National Hockey League career with the Oakland Seals in 1970. He also played for the Atlanta Flames, New York Islanders, Minnesota North Stars, and Los Angeles Kings. He left the NHL after the 1978 season. He retired from hockey in 1980.

Hicke started his hockey career with the junior Regina Pats. The Pats were a Montreal Canadiens farm team. He got his start in pro hockey with the Houston Apollos of the Central Hockey League. In Hicke's two seasons there, he played 139 games and scored 45 goals and 63 assists. He then spent a season with the Salt Lake Golden Eagles of the Western Hockey League.

He was then involved in one of the most lopsided trades in NHL history. He was traded to the Oakland Seals in 1970 with Montreal's first draft choice in the 1970 NHL Amateur Draft. In exchange the Canadiens got Francois Lacombe and the Seals' first choice in the 1971 NHL Amateur Draft - who just turned out to be Guy Lafleur!!

Hicke then started his National Hockey League career with the Oakland Seals in 1970 where he joined his older brother, Bill. He played 146 games where he had 33 goals and 37 assists. He was then claimed in 1972 NHL Expansion Draft by the Atlanta Flames where he played for one season before getting traded to the New York Islanders. Hicke played 76 games with them but only managed to score 21 points for the team. He was then traded to theMinnesota North Stars where he brought up his game again with 68 goals and 53 assists. After 4 seasons with the Stars, Hicke was signed by the Los Angeles Kings. He left the NHL after the 1978 season and went to play for the CHL's Dallas Black Hawks. Hicke ended his hockey career with 8 goals and 24 assists before he retired from hockey after 1980.

In 520 NHL games, Hicke scored 132 goals and 140 assists.
