Erika Lawler (born February 5, 1987) is a member of the 2009–10 United States national women's ice hockey team which is participating in the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Lawler also played hockey for the Wisconsin Badgers and won three NCAA titles (2006, 2007 and 2009).


Wisconsin Badgers

  • Lawler finished her Badgers career with 174 career points (55 goals and 119 assists). She ranks third in school history. In her senior year, she captained the Badgers to the 2009 NCAA National Championship.

USA Hockey

In action at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games

  • Lawler competed in the International Ice Hockey Federation World Women's Championship for the U.S. on three separate occasions (2007, 2008, 2009). In 2008 and 2009, she was part of the gold medal winning team. She was a three-time member of the U.S. Women's Select Team for the Four Nations Cup (she competed in 2006, 2007 and in 2008). During that time, she was also a member of the U.S. Women's Under-22 Select Team. From 2006-2009, she was a four time participant at the USA Hockey Women's National Festival participant (2006-07, 2009).[2]

2010 Olympic team

Received Silver Medal in the XXI 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Erika and the USA Women's Hockey Team lost 2-0 against Canada on February 25, 2010.

Awards and honors

  • Led the NCAA with 44 assists in 2009
